The Presidential Citation for the Rotary Year 2017-2018 was awarded to the Past-President of the Grayson Rotary Club Mindy Click. Through membership development, program progress and service to the community, Rotary International recognized Mindy for Leadership Excellence.

Nellie Wright spoke to the club
Nellie Wright visited the Grayson Rotary Club and presented the Technology achievements of the Carter County School District. Clearly impressive, the District has made great strides in providing helpful technology to assist our student’s learning.
Lisa Conley came to us from the Olive Hill Chamber of Commerce
Lisa inspired us by recounting all the activities the Olive Hill Chamber has been involved with. We discussed several options for working together with them to improve our County. Keep up the good work Lisa and the Olive Hill Chamber!
Dana Hall told us about the HELP program
Dana told us about the good work she’s been doing for homebound patients in Carter County. Her HELP Program has set up a recycling program for used durable medical equipment for patients that cannot afford their own. She makes home visits for patients unable to come to their doctor’s offices. She has successfully kept prople from needing hospitalization due to her timely medical interventions. A really inspiring program was presented to our club! Thanks, Dana!
Helen Rose spoke about Polio+
Helen Rose Dowd, here with Grayson Rotary President Aaron Kitchen, presented a wonderful program on Rotary’s “Polio Plus” program! We plan a special event to celebrate World Polio Day on October 24, 2019! Service above self . . . what a concept.
Ronnie and Judy Dotson came
Ronnie and Judy Dotson gave us an update about all the wonderful things that are happening in the Carter County School System.
Jeremy Holbrook visited the Grayson Rotary Club
Jeremy Holbrook spoke to the Grayson Rotary Club about the Big Idea Camp. His message was very well received.
Honor Flight Kentucky presented to us
The Grayson Rotary Club was given a wonderful presentation about the work of Honor Flight Kentucky. This organization takes Veterans from our state to Washington, DC to visit the war memorials there. Their work inspired us.
PDG Cheryl Sprague visited us!
We were very pleased to have Past District Governor Cheryl Sprague visit the Grayson Rotary Club. While she was with us, she presented the Rotary Presidential Citation to Past President Mindy Click. Good Work Mindy!! Cheryl left the club on a high note having inspired us to continue our service efforts for the Grayson community.
Gina Browning spoke to the Club about Goodwill
Her presentation triggered lots of club response and we kept her talking for quite a while about how the Grayson Rotary Club and Goodwill can work together to meet local Grayson needs. Poor thing, she was warned that she would likely wind up eating cold pizza. Still, a good time was had by all! Thanks, Gina!
Paul Tierney spoke to us
Paul told us about Carter Caves and various programs they offer. He told us about hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater production as a fund-raiser. The Club was very interested in his presentation and is actively considering doing this fundraiser.
Carol Adams came to our club
Carol Adams is the Director of CASA, The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program. She spoke with us about child abuse and neglect in Carter County and inspired us to become involved in helping these children.
